Chairman Algae Chueh stated that as competition in the dietary supplement market continues to intensify, consumers are placing increasing emphasis on product efficacy and safety. Unlike dietary supplement brands that are primarily formulation- or marketing-driven, FEBICO operates as a biotechnology company with integrated capabilities spanning microalgae research and cultivation, process development, and downstream applications. Guided by scientific evidence, the company’s precision supplement product lines are supported by multiple international scientific publications, with selected products further validated through research conducted at major hospitals. These efforts help strengthen market trust and enhance product value.

The Company further noted that as consumer expectations shift from “daily supplementation” toward precision nutrition, FEBICO precision supplements have accumulated extensive feedback from international scientific literature. In addition, selected products have completed hospital-based research validation, addressing the practical needs of healthy aging population for precise, evidence-based health solutions.

From a financial perspective, Far East Bio-Tec reported consolidated revenue of NT$188,002 thousand in the first half of 2025, with a gross margin of 53% and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$0.87, representing a 19% increase compared with the prior period. In addition, cumulative revenue through November 2025 increased 4.32% year-on-year, reflecting steady operating momentum under the Company’s global health aging and precision supplement strategy.

In terms of market development, the proportion of international revenue has continued to increase in recent years, demonstrating the international competitiveness of FEBICO’s microalgae-based products. Domestically, FEBICO continues to advance its precision supplement product lines and strategic partnerships, forming a balanced operating structure across both domestic and international markets.

Beyond its core dietary supplement applications, FEBICO continues to invest in advanced microalgae technologies. Its Chlorella sorokiniana–derived extracellular vesicle technology has completed key process development milestones and has obtained Taiwan’s first INCI registration for plant-derived extracellular vesicles, along with the required Product Information File (PIF) documentation. The technology has entered global market development, highlighting the company’s strength in advanced microalgae applications and high value-added innovation, with next-generation microalgae extracellular vesicles 2.0 currently under development.

On the manufacturing side, in addition to its ESG-focused microalgae cultivation site in Gaoshu, Pingtung, FEBICO has established a high-standard functional dietary supplement manufacturing facility within the Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park, further strengthening its vertically integrated production system from raw material cultivation to finished product manufacturing.

In the second half of 2025, the manufacturing facility has been completed, including an expansion of 1,200 ping (3,967 m²) of stainless steel, temperature-controlled manufacturing area and the introduction of automated manufacturing equipment, further enhancing production capacity to meet growing market demand.
