Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) is a class of DNA-derived polymer fragments used as a functional material in research and product development. Commercial PDRN has traditionally been associated with animal sources, while microalgae-derived PDRN provides a non-animal source option for cosmetic formulation and technical evaluation.
Source is only one part of ingredient evaluation. A microalgae-derived material should not be assumed to be equivalent or superior to salmon-derived or other PDRN solely because of its origin.
